And after saving the life of one her fathers prized hunting dogs, she was allowed to continue her medical training with the blessing of her father. At the death of the Empress SeaAnna of Latium, she attended the Mos Maiorum Festival to honor the woman and she took this opportunity to learn about both Alban and Norveg, While doing so, she met a handsome Jarl, Sven, son of King Ivar, who took a liking to her and invited her to learn from the Healers of Norveg. She came to Norveg and they eventually married.
Her sister, Queen Nylaria, was on her deathbed after trying to give her husband, King Henrich, a son. At the King's request Kiera returned to Alban in an attempt to save her sister, but it was too late. Upon her deathbed, Nylaria insisted that Kiera take her place as his wife and Queen, seeing her as someone who could be a good ruler with her compassion and caring.
Sven, having a deep understanding of the complexities of political alliances and strategies of the lands, recognized the necessity of allowing Kiera to pursue a marriage that would serve the interests of her family, and her realm. Princess Grace, 20 years old, daughter of Henrich and Nylaria,
Princess Grace Brenthorne grew up amidst the opulence of palace life, where her whims, within reason, were met. She was taught to play the harp, read, write, and even grasp the complexities of mathematics, though she despised those lessons. She was also educated in law, procedure, and etiquette, crafting a persona fit for royalty. Behind closed doors, Grace was a sweet and loving girl. In public, however, she presented a stoic and emotionless facade, living a life split between two contrasting realities. She adored her father and harbored a secret longing to be more like her sister, Elina.
The death of her mother almost shattered her. Grace secluded herself in her room for days, venturing out only to attend the funeral. Just as she began to come to terms with her loss, her life was upended once more. Her beloved aunt became her stepmother, creating a tumultuous blend of love and resentment within her. She felt torn between rebelling against the idea of a new mother and striving to please the aunt she adored. Grace found herself isolated, struggling to navigate this new dynamic. Her only confidant was her pet dog, Sigil. In the privacy of her room, Grace would pour out her heart to Sigil, confessing her inner turmoil and the pain she kept hidden from the world.
Deceased Nylaria Brenthorne, former Queen and mother of Elina and Grace
Fomer wife of King Henrich and the sister of the former Emperor Brenwith Dunbarrion of Latium.
Queen Nylaria had been warned by the physicians against attempting another pregnancy due to her fragile health. However, her determination to provide her husband, the King, with a male heir outweighed her fear of the risks. Despite the medical advice and the concern of those around her, she pressed on, resolute in her quest to fulfill her role as Queen. In her third term, her youngest sister, Kiera had been called for, both for her medical skills and comfort to the Queen during her pregnancy, and upcoming birth.
Tragically, during childbirth, Nylaria succumbed to the immense strain of delivering a baby boy. Both mother and child lost their lives in the process, leaving a void in the royal court that could not easily be filled. Her husband, stricken with grief, could barely comprehend the loss. Amid her final moments, Nylaria voiced her last wishes to him: she urged him to marry her younger sister, Kiera.
Nylaria had her reasons for this request. With the devastation of Latium following the war, safety and stability had become paramount. By binding Kiera to the King through marriage, Nylaria hoped to secure her sister's protection within the royal family. Beyond this, she also recognized the importance of preserving the royal lineage, a task that now fell to her younger sister.
Though the King felt crushed by the weight of his loss, he could not deny Nylaria's final wish. In honoring her dying request, he took Kiera's hand in marriage, knowing that it was not only a promise to his late wife but also a commitment to the security of his realm and the continuity of his royal line. The union between the King and Kiera became both a solemn duty and a tribute to Nylaria's memory, marking a new chapter in the ongoing saga of the kingdom.

The Duchess Isabella Brenthorne, 55 years old, Widow of the late King Roberth Brenthorne.
The Duchess was born into one of the wealthiest families in Alban, The Landbrodin's of LondonDerry
She entered into marriage with King Robert in 470AD . Despite the slight age difference of only 11 years between her and Roberts oldest son ,Henrich, she wholeheartedly embraced her role in caring for the King's children, resembling more of a nurturing older sister than a motherly figure. Initially, she grappled with the imagined shadow of the king's first wife, constantly feeling as though she was being compared to her, although such comparisons were largely a product of her own insecurities.
Over time, however, Isabella ceased attempting to emulate Queen Bethany and instead established herself as a beloved and respected Queen in her own right. She eventually had children of her own, further solidifying her position within the royal household. Upon the King's passing, tradition dictated that Isabella would relinquish the title of Queen, which would not be replaced with the designation of King's mother, as that would have been Bethany's title. Understanding this, the King had ensured that Isabella would possess titles of her own and granted her the esteemed position of Duchess.
The Duchess was an intelligent woman of strong character, well-versed in the intricacies of the kingdom's politics. Her astuteness and capabilities were recognized by the King, leading to her appointment to the King's council, a distinguished honour bestowed rarely upon only a select few among the Ladies of Alban

He fought alongside his soldiers and knights on the front lines, leading them with unwavering courage during the long 10 year war.
However, during the grueling battle, King Robert sustained a severe wound to his side. Despite his resilient spirit, the wound eventually led to a long illness, as he valiantly fought off persistent infections. The toll of the battle and subsequent illness weighed heavily on him, before he eventually succumbed to it.
The King was not only a formidable warrior but also a loving and devoted husband and father. His heart was shattered when his beloved wife, Bethany, passed away. He never envisioned taking a second wife, but the royal council insisted that he needed a queen and a mother for his children.
After six years of mourning, King Robert acquiesced and married Lady Isabella, of House LondonDerry. While she lacked royal lineage, Lady Isabella hailed from one of the wealthiest and most influential families in the realm. The Landbrodins had a strong allegiance to the crown, and Lady Isabella's eldest brother, James Landbrodin The Marquess of LondonDerry, had fought valiantly by the king's side during the war.

Anthony Landbrodin, 21 years old, son of George and Amberline

Anthony was always raised as the eldest son of the Landbrodin family to eventually take the mantle. He was taught finances, art, combat, and leadership skills, Anthony showed little interest in these things though learned so he didn't get into too much trouble with his father. Anthony longed to not have the weight of being the heir and caring after the family but he knew it was what was expected. Anthony was known to be quiet, withdrawn most times and tended to stick to himself, though when necessary would put on a persona in the public eye. He'd much prefer to be sitting alone, reading or in the presence of those he truly enjoyed spending time with. His relationship with his family behind closed doors perhaps a bit rocky due to them seeing his lack of enthusiasm for eventually taking the family over.
