About...Liandra

If you have read the Lore, you will now know that In the land of Liandra, peace had reigned for four decades, with Latuim, Alban, and Norveg upholding their promises and commitments to one another. Through intermarriage, their lives had become intricately woven together, and the once dividing stretches of "no man's land" lay unused. These remnants served as a reminder of the decade-long war that had once ravaged the region. Now, the people freely traveled between the lands for trade and leisure, embracing the newfound unity.

However, peace did not mean complete immunity from threats. Over the years, Liandra had faced attacks from various external forces, with the Celts being the most recent assailants, less than a year ago. The Celtic Isles, located at a considerable distance, required a two-month voyage by sea to reach, or six weeks on the faster Viking ships of Norveg. The Celts, enticed by the wealth and resources of Liandra, persistently launched invasions, proving themselves to be formidable warriors. The people of Liandra, having experienced numerous conflicts, had become battle-hardened and resilient.

Despite their differences, the lands of Liandra joined forces to defend themselves. Bound not only by their interconnected marriages but also by their mutual interests, they recognized that the fall of one land could pave the way for subsequent attacks on the others. It was a matter of self-preservation. United in purpose, they fought side by side, protecting not only their own territories but also safeguarding the collective strength of Liandra.

In the winter of 502 AD, the fragile peace that had long held the lands of Liandra together began to unravel. It started with a civil war erupting within the borders of Latium, tearing at the very fabric of the empire. As tensions escalated and loyalties were tested, the conflict quickly spiraled out of control, drawing neighboring kingdoms into its destructive wake.

Amidst the chaos, Norveg emerged as a formidable adversary, its forces clashing with those of Latium in a brutal and relentless campaign. What began as a dispute over succession soon escalated into a full-blown war, as the armies of Norveg marched forth with determination and resolve.

The conflict proved devastating for Latium, as its once-mighty empire crumbled beneath the onslaught of enemy forces. Cities lay in ruins, fields were scorched, and countless lives were lost in the chaos of battle. In the end, victory belonged to Norveg, its triumph marking the final chapter in the downfall of Latium.
