Rules

Roleplay will not be moderated in this sim. Your RP will be completely free-flowing, and no story requests will be required as long as your story is aligned with our lore.

If you have an In-Character (IC) problem with another character, deal with it IC. If you have an Out-of-Character (OOC) problem with someone else, deal with it OOC between yourselves. The only time the Admin Team will get involved is when someone breaks any of the rules enumerated below.

There are no Moderators for our roleplay, but we will have Admins to help with any questions about the lore, sim, applications, etc.

We ask that you do not interrupt our Admins on sim, as they are there to roleplay too. Instead, please ask your question on Discord in the appropriate channel. The Admins will get to it right away as soon as they are out of their own RP scene.

If you do not have Discord, there will be an area in the OOC centre on sim to drop a notecard.

1. ADULT HUMAN AVATARS ONLY.
Conquest is an adult roleplay sim. This means your character has to be over 18 and your avatar should look like an adult male or female. No exceptions. No furries, anime, fantasy (vampires, demons, dragons, etc.), or animal-like characters.

2. LOCAL MAIN CHAT IS PURELY FOR ROLEPLAY. NO SOUND GESTURES PLEASE.
We are a roleplay sim. Local chat is used only for roleplay. Take OOC chatter to IMs or group chat. Refrain from using sound or music gestures anywhere on sim. Never be disrespectful to your fellow roleplayers. Keep the immersion alive and don't interrupt the roleplay environment with OOC chat.

3. KEEP IN MIND OTHER PLAYERS' CONSENTS AND LIMITS, AND RESPECT THEM.
Never assume or act that you are above another roleplayer's boundaries. Check their profile picks for their limits. If they are not stated or if you are unsure, it is always advisable to send your fellow RPer a private message and ask. On the other hand, if you feel uncomfortable where the RP is heading, please message the other player privately and let them know how you are feeling. Communication is key and most players are accommodating. As much as possible, we would like to avoid any OOC drama that usually would blow up and involve the entire sim.We are all here to have fun and enjoy the RP.

4. NO OOC DRAMA.
IC drama? Great! Bring it on!
OOC drama though? Please leave it far outside of the sim. You have beef with someone from elsewhere? Mute and block them. You are not required to interact with those people. The Admin Team will not get involved with interplayers' OOC dramas, so please deal with them as mature adults. There’s really no reason for the entire sim to be dragged into those.

​5. RP RULES/RP ETIQUETTE.
All RP Rules have to be followed and be applied at all times. Absolutely no metagaming, no powergaming, and no god-modding. No thought-emote insults.

Please note, that IC actions have IC consequences. That is, if your character did something unlawful or cruel, it will have repercussions. You can discuss OOC with other players how those repercussions can play out, but your character will not be exempt from the consequences just because you are uncomfortable with them. If you are uncomfortable with IC consequences, then don't put your character in that situation.
Separate IC from OOC. It is normal to feel heated and be affected by things happening in IC, but please do not let it bleed into OOC. You are not your character, and other players are not their own characters. At the end of the day, the sim is just one big stage and we are all just actors with parts to play.
The standard of roleplay that we're striving for the sim is semi/full/multi paragraph roleplay. No one liners. Make an effort to make it an enjoyable experience for the other players too, and give them something to react too.

Take turns to post, and give other players time to post. Wait a full round of posts before posting in your character to a scene. Do an exit post before leaving a scene.
​
Roleplay comes with etiquette and certain rules to ensure that all characters give a degree of realism to their roleplay. Be sure that you understand what is required of you to play in Conquest.

7. NO MODERN DAY CLOTHING.
Our lore is based around the Ancient Roman, Medieval Britain, and Viking eras. We expect your avatars to act, think, and dress like people from these times. No modern day clothing
